Young Mathematicians at Fern Hill School
Fern Hill students in Grades 3 through 8 who are Mathematics enthusiasts participate annually in our Math Contests Clubs. Our students are taught by our team of Mathematics teachers to prepare for the rigors of the Math Competitions of Mathematica.
Mathematica Centrum prepares some of the top mathematics competitions in North America. Since 1990, more than a million students have participated in these contests.

UNESCO has declared that learning mathematics through problem solving activities is the most efficient way for students to develop the mathematical skills that will prepare them for the challenges of the future. With this in mind, Mathematica Centrum designs contests that will challenge and promote the problem solving skills of students.
Thales Contest (Grade 3: 45 minutes; 30 questions)
Byron-Germain Contest (Grade 4: 45 minutes; 30 questions)
Fibonacci Contest (Grade 5: 60 minutes; 40 questions)
Pythagoras Contest (Grade 6: 75 minutes; 50 questions)
Euler Contest (Grade 7: 75 minutes; 40 questions)
Lagrange Contest (Grade 8: 75 minutes; 40 questions)
